Role: Project Accountant Team Leader
Location:
Bournemouth, Farnborough, Yeovil, Blackburn, Preston (Current plans are to work remotely for most of 2021)

Salary:
Up To £48,000 DOE + Benefits

About the role of a Project Accountant Team Leader;
As a Project Accountant Team Leader, you will have a key role to play in supporting the Finance Transformation programme through the establishment of a cross Project Accounting team whose purpose is to deliver a suite of data production, reporting and analysis services into the Project Finance Business Partners.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to acquire knowledge of four key programmes simultaneously, and as such, an excellent development opportunity with the wider business.
Main responsibilities of a Project Accountant Team Leader:
Ability to inspire and develop people to drive the highest performance from your team and have the strategic vision to understand how activities align to business objectives. You will be responsible for your teams delivery of the below:
Producing of key project accounting reports and data analysis, including cost reports and SSR / CSR actualisation on behalf of the Project Finance Business Partners
Producing of key reporting packs for the Senior Leadership Team and Finance Leadership Team.
Maintaining of Project cost ledgers and booking codes.
Managing and recovering of costs incurred against intra projects.
Provision of required inputs into the invoicing and cash forecasting processes.
Preparing of Bid Data Packs to support Business Winning activities.
Providing development and coaching of direct reports.
Continually review current activities in order to identify and implement efficiency improvements through standardisation of processes and utilisation of digital technology.
Your skills and qualifications as a Project Accountant Team Leader
CIMA, ACA or ACCA - Fully Qualified
Strong Business Acumen
Ability to use IT to drive business improvements and enhance management reporting
Project Accounting experience
Essential skills for the role of Project Accountant Team Leader:
You will have the ability to inspire and develop people to drive the highest performance from your team and have the strategic vision to understand how activities align to business objectives.
All of this will need to be underpinned by a high level of business acumen which will need to be applied on a daily basis.
Desirable skills
Experience of transformational activities
Line management experience
Background in digital technology - awareness, dashboard reporting.
