Credit Controller

Northampton, Brackmills

Temporary contract

£10.77 per hour

Monday to Friday 8.30am until 5pm

In this role you will be instrumental in the credit and risk management for the companies sales ledger activity. Chasing customers for overdue debts, managing queries, resolving disputes and general administration associated with this role, working within the boundaries of the company's policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have excellent telephone and customer service skills with a calm and confident manner
• Have a high attention to detail and a tenacious and persistent nature
• Be able to develop, nurture and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers
• Have experience in the Credit Control environment

The role expectations include:

• Control and reduce debt to set targets using pre agreed process and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up to date static and variable client records.
• Outgoing debt collection telephone calls.
• Receive in-coming calls and record all communications and queries promptly and accurately in support of cash collection activity.
• Working with operational teams to ensure all incoming queries are promptly dealt with
• To build and maintain close working relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Produce and distribute accurate statements and other documentation in a timely manner as required to support the debt chasing activity.
• Ensure collection efforts are routinely organised to ensure frequent and regular coverage of the entire ledger.
• Support in customer risk management as determined by Company process and your line management.
• Implementation and adherence to all Company policy and procedure.
