We are exclusivly partnering a great business in Northampton, to bring an experinced Accounts Payable Clerk into the team. This role will suit an experinced Accounts Payable clerk who is looking for a new challange, and ready to take on more accounability as the role grows.

Accounts Payable Clerk

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of all purchase invoices to include
    • Matching to purchase orders
    • Chasing budget holders where purchase orders are not found
    • Checking coding to the correct nominal ledger
    • Ensuring correct VAT treatment
    • Posting to the system
  • Processing expense claims, checking to receipts, ensuring correct VAT treatment and coding
  • Daily cheque requests/BACS payments
  • Liaising with budget holders on coding and authorisation for purchase orders
  • Posting of direct debit payments
  • Ongoing reconciliation of supplier statements to the system
  • Monthly Property payment run
  • Ad-hoc support to the wider finance function

Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within Accounts Payable
  • Knowledge of Accountings systems
  • Intermediate Excel
  • Knowledge of VAT returns, International VAT and multi-currency payments
  • Previous experience of CIS
