As the Analyst you will be responsible of analysing the freight and warehousing processes as well as developing and overseeing solutions and strategic improvements. You will operate at the branches as an advisor by coming up with ideas of improvement whilst looking at KPIs. The role demands a high level of initiative and proactivity as well as good analytical skills and numerical understanding.
You will need to be able to work independently working and learning as well as strong communication skills are imperative for Controllers to actively drive continuous improvement for all stakeholders of the business.
Key Accountabilities
- Creating monthly financial and operational forecasts and reports
- Creating annual budgets
- Creating and interpreting of analysis and KPIs for long- and short-distance traffics, export, cross dock and other operational departments.
- Preparing customer bids/tariffs and shipment data
- Pre- and post-calculation as well as creation of the biannual margin analysis and the monthly post-calculation.
- Coordinating and discussing results with Operations Management and General Management
- Creating other evaluations, calculations, KPIs and benchmarks
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Degree in Finance or Business studies (advantageous)
- Budgeting/forecasting experience
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbally
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
- Ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of transport and logistics
- Excellent analysis skills
- Ability to take responsibility to resolve issues
- Excellent IT skills and data manipulation skills to provide quality reporting
- Experience working in the logistics sector or complimentary business within sales role
