Preparing the Group and Subsidiaries' statutory financial reports, in a manner that meets the compliance obligations in all relevant jurisdictions. Preparing the Company's consolidated management reporting and outputs, providing thorough analysis and high quality data, to enable effective decision making. Executing central control of the general ledger and chart of accounts. Contribute to the design and maintenance of the Financial Governance and Internal Control framework, to assist St Barbara's statutory and regulatory financial obligations. Contributing to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive suite of fit-for-purpose finance-related systems. Contribute to St Barbara's financial knowledge and intellectual property, and ensure proper document retention, to meet all regulatory requirements. Provide insightful commentary that focuses leadership's attention on the business performance, risks and opportunities. Provide support and coaching to departments in developing and preparing budget and quarterly forecasts, and consolidation of the budget and quarterly forecasts. Provide finance business partnering to functional departments through high quality financial and commercial support, analysis, insights and recommendations for improvement. Drive simplicity and standardisation of finance processes and reporting. Support process improvement initiatives for own role and contribution to Company initiatives. Continually monitoring and anticipating the statutory reporting landscape, and remaining up to date with technical developments, to ensure the Company complies with all relevant standards.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our highly engaged and dynamic team within our Head Office.
Reporting to the Manager Finance you will assist with St Barbara's financial accounting functions, including month end reporting and budgeting for Corporate departments, consistent with the Company's Values, Vision and business plans, and with all internal and external compliance obligations.

What we will expect from you
You should feel a strong alignment with St Barbara's values as you will be required to live them. Tertiary qualification in accounting, CA or CPA or equivalent. Demonstrated ability to lead and delegate tasks; proven ability to work in a high performance team environment, working with a variety of stakeholders and people from diverse backgrounds. Strong oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to persuade and express ideas clearly to senior stakeholders. High energy and effective time management skills, with an ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver to promise. Proven experience in preparing general purpose financial reports. Demonstrated high level of computer literacy, with advanced capability in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe. Experience working with an ASX company highly regarded. Demonstrated strategic and analytical thinking capability highly regarded. Mining industry experience desirable. Pronto ERP exposure or mid-to-large size ERP system experience desirable. Power BI or similar experience desirable.
