My client is looking for someone who knows their way around the numbers in the business and supports everyone else with theirs too. A Financial Accountant! To report directly to the Group Financial Controller and support with the day to day running of the team. Working closely with the Operational Team to enhancing the financial knowledge of our Operational Team and Landlords.

Description

Key responsibilities for this Financial Accountant role include:

• Review month end results with pub General Managers, Head Chefs and Assistant Managers ensuring they understand their performance against budget and key KPIs
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of key accounting principles around accruals and prepayments and have the ability to deliver accurate financial results at month end
• Manage an Accounts Assistant and ensure all bank postings and daily sales reconciliations are completed and any issues escalated and resolved in a timely manner
• Have the ability to analyse and be able to explain month end results against budget and prior year

Profile

Requirements for this Financial Accountant role:

• Previous finance experience and may be part qualified or qualified by experience.
• Extended Excel skills
• Analytical and data focused
• Team player with positive working attitude
• A love for the British countryside and its pursuits
• The ability to communicate financial information and coach our managers in all things finance
• Live within commuting distance of London
