Our Client

We are recruting for a Pan-European real estate investment manager, specialising in value-added investment strategies across all property types in the UK and Europe. Headquartered in London, with a team of over 120 people across seven locations in Europe. Our clients include pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds, foundations and family offices located around the world.

The Role

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, highly driven professional, wanting to join a market-leading group and play an important role in its growth. Whilst being a good team player, there will be many opportunities for direct ownership and responsibility so the candidate should be a highly motivated and a confident self-starter.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in the preparation of the group financial reporting including:
    • Monthly consolidated management accounts
    • Monthly executive summary for senior management
    • Financials for quarterly board report
    • Manage relationship with BDO/corporate finance team to ensure the firm's financial records are accurate and up to date
  • Take charge of the accounts of all entities within the Group including corporates and partnerships
  • Involved in the review and filing of tax returns including corporation and partnership tax, VAT, PSA and P11D
  • Responsible for updating monthly forecast projections which includes recurring EBITDA, cashflow and regulatory capital
  • Take responsibility for preparing the monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reporting to Tristan's minority shareholder
  • Manage the coordination of the year-end group audit process including the interaction between auditors, corporate finance team and external accountants. Ensure accurate preparation of all entity annual accounts and meeting the local filing requirements.
  • Preparation of annual budget for submission to board for approval
  • Review all FCA related GABRIEL reporting returns for filing

Key Skills, Attributes, and experience

  • Enthusiastic and flexible team player
  • Independence and initiative. Proven ability to manage oneself and balancing differing priorities
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting fundamentals and regulations
  • Understanding of basic UK corporate/partnership taxation fundamentals
  • Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills
  • IT literate and proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent oral and communication skills
  • ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant, or equivalent, at least 6 years post qualification experience required, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Regulatory knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge of SAP Business One and Concur desirable but not essential
