About the role

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and highly ambitious Management Accountant to join this well know brand at a continued period of growth. The client is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, passionate, hard-working, qualified finance professional with strong technical skills.

As the Management Accountant you will report into the Financial Controller and will be responsible for preparing management accountant, P&L's, cashflow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.

Salary - £40k - £45k + bonus

Main Duties

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Preparing and posting prepayments and accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accounts commentary and analysis of monthly variances.
• Multiple KPI reporting to senior management.
• Monthly profit and loss reporting
• Weekly cash flow forecasting.
• Preparation internal reports and analysis.
• KPI reporting
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Supporting group reporting and VAT returns and other financial reporting.
• Supporting ear end and half year end reporting including liaising with the auditors
• Additional ad hoc reporting when required and excel analysis.

Person Specification

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant
• Strong academic background (2.1 degree)

• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience of compiling and producing management accounts to a high standard of accuracy
• Able to identify financial and business risks to the company
• Proactive with good organisational and communication skills.
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ambitious with strong work ethic
• Comfortable working to tight/short deadlines
• Forward thinking and proactive
• Confident to challenge and question assumptions made by the business
• A self-starter who is enthusiastic & organised and able to work under minimal supervision
