Our client is a dynamic business looking to recruit an ambitious and meticulous Accounts Assistant to join their team.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all financial administration including recording and reconciling financial transactions - Purchase ledger/ Sales Ledger/Cashbook
Purchase and sales ledger processing, including creating and processing sales invoices, processing, and scheduling purchase invoices payments
Stock reconciliations & queries
General ledger maintenance
Banking transactions
To oversee all aspects of finance processing up to management accounts
Assisting the Financial Controller with the completion of the financial month end
Fixed asset management
VAT
Ad hoc finance reportingThe Candidate
Qualification - AAT or equivalent - qualified/training (level 3/4)
Experience with marketplaces/e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and eBay etc.
Experience of working within an accounting environment
Experience with Xero
Experience of handling financials in e-commerce marketplaces (Amazon/eBay)
Highly proficient with MS Office with emphasis on MS Excel
Fluent in written & spoken English. Must be articulate & capable of communicating across the whole spectrum of staff from the MDs to agency staff
A self-starter & proactive, capable of acting independently and be confident in asking for guidance when required is a must
Must be able to use own initiative to gain a business advantage
Be capable of taking complex instructions, carrying these out to a high standard and making decisions in a timely manner
Build and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, superiors, and external partners
