The role
An opportunity has arisen within our Accounts Team, this role involves a variety of accounting tasks within the Wykes group of company activities, therefore requiring a proven successful background in a busy and diverse accounts environment.
Responsibilities
Day to day general operational tasks for accounting assistant to include:
* Process payroll, reconciliation of PAYE and HMRC requirements.
* Prepare monthly, weekly and ad-hoc BACS payment runs and reconcile accordingly.
* Oversee and reconcile petty cash expenses.
* Daily download of information from relevant Banks with subsequent posting of payments and receipts and reconcile to the various accounts.
* Assist and carry out preparation of management Information including P&L accounts, balance sheets and VAT.
* Participate in annual audits and external statistical requirements where required.
* Credit control duties including resolution of invoicing queries.
* Reconciliation of credit card transactions including reporting, resolving queries and posting.
* Completion of new supplier credit account forms and other associated purchase ledger duties.
Accounting Skills and experience required for the role:
AAT Technician level with a minimum 5 years' experience.
An organised multi-tasker who works well in a fast paced environment.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
