Your opportunity

The NRMA group has a solid footprint in the car rental market in Australia and NZ and the business plays a very large role in Member Value Proposition and is experiencing solid growth on the back of customer experience led strategy and travel and tourism segment. This role is within our Thrifty division.

As GM Finance - Thrifty Car Rental ANZ you will partner with the Managing Director of Thrifty - car rental to deliver operating plan for division and work in setting strategic direction to the group. You will also be responsible to ensure local accounts and control environment is in strong position and meets group control and reporting requirements.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the local Divisional Finance team
  • Supports a high-performance, customer-centric team culture, building organisational capability by focusing on staff development and succession
  • Ensure we have robust reporting and insight from relevant of P&L, Balance sheet and cash flow
  • Coordinate periodic forecasting of Divisional financial results including multiyear plans
  • Ensure there is strong alignment on financial report between Australia and NZ. Ensure thee is consistency of numbers between car rental and Group
  • Lead and manage the preparation of a robust business plan and annual budget, that links Divisional Strategy
  • Build a clear roadmap for growth and resources for future business investment proposals

  • Requirements for Success:
  • Tertiary level qualifications (e.g. bachelor degree) in a relevant discipline
  • 10-15 years' experience in a commercial finance
  • Ability to manage complex growth agenda and senior stakeholders
  • Leadership, ability to coach and develop stakeholders, lead project teams, manage performance and achieve objectives
  • Experience in Investment and asset intensive businesses
  • Track record on building high performing team

  • Previous FP&A experience
  • Knowledge travel or tourism business models
  • ERP experience and planningtools
