6 month contract for an experienced payroll officer with large company experience. Immediate start

The role

Your well developed and strong knowledge of payroll processing will be put to the test with this role as you will be respnsible for providing effective and efficient payroll services to the companies customers within
Australia and New Zealand while ensuring compliance with legislation.

Payroll services include transactional, administrative, professional and advisory support.

Process and reconcile payroll transactions and payments ensuring confidential, accurate and timely processing in
accordance with the employment contracts, industrial instruments, company policies and other legislative
requirements.

Key responsabilities

  • Maintain pay records, employee records, leave records and other related information to ensure the quality of data
    integrity in the system is up to date and accurate.
  • Prepare and analyse reports for payroll and HR team reporting purposes, as well as audits, and statutory reporting
    requirements in order to ensure business and legislative requirements are met.
  • Respond to, support and resolve ad hoc payroll queries, escalating to the Payroll Lead or Site HR representatives
    for interpretation of awards, contracts or policies as required, to ensure queries are resolved effectively.
  • Support payroll projects, review and development payroll processes, procedures or guidelines as required in order
    to improve accuracy and efficiency of practices.
  • Maintain a focus on continuous improvement in order to identify and implement improvement opportunities in
    payroll processes.
