You will be working with a forward-thinking firm of accountants, based in our Waterloo office. We offer Audit, Accounts, VAT, Payroll and are specialists in taxation which is a strong focus for us. We are all about client service and proactive work. Our accounts team interact with our personal tax specialists to provide best solutions for each client, we are not a one solution fits all firm. We are a team focused practice where directors and staff work closely together. Quarterly meetings are where we discuss ideas and the future growth initiatives of the practice, whilst monthly team meetings enable us to touch base on identified issues and finally end of week fifteen minutes airs any burning issues prior to our weekend breaks.

The role

As a Semi-Senior Accountant you will be working on a range of different size clients and there will be an opportunity to specialise in Audit. We have clients from all different sectors but two of our focus sectors are the Maritime Industry and the Construction Industry. The role will require some bookkeeping and VAT but mainly the preparation of Statutory Accounts from various records so you would be comfortable with online bookkeeping packages in addition to the classic incomplete records. You would have access to supervision and support from colleagues and directors whilst producing the accounts. Corporation tax experience would be helpful but not a must.

Candidate requirements

A can do, positive attitude is what we look for. A positive attitude lifts all the people around you and we thrive on a happy, successful workplace. You will need to be a team player especially as due to the size of our practice there are times when its all hands on deck, and everyone is expected to do whatever is necessary to 'get the job done'. Qualifications are not a must.
