Client Management Accountant

£25,000 - £30,000 + Bonus + 25 days Holiday

We are a fast growing and fast paced organisation, supporting a large portfolio of recruitment companies.

Due to expansion we are looking for an experienced Accountant to deliver first class accounting to a group of those customers. This is a client facing position, so communication is key to maintaining positive customer relationships. The clients are a mix of permanent, contract or dual income stream recruitment companies in a wide variety of industries. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on role in a forward thinking and modern practice.

The role requires a broad breadth of bookkeeping skills, preparation of management accounts, dividend calculations, VAT and PAYE calculations & cashflow advice. Experience and competence in producing cashflows, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns will give your application a distinct advantage. There is an opportunity for career advancement as our business is expected to double in size over the next 3-4 years.

We use Quickbooks as our main tool, so experience in a web based application is ideal.

Excellent communication skillsAble to manage a client portfolio and deal with a variety of work in a busy officeEnsure accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasksThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresPrevious experience working in an accountancy practice is essentialForward-thinking approachHave proven experience in a Senior/Semi-Senior Accounting role and have at least 3 of years of practice experience.Experience in producing cashflowsHands on experience in using a web based accounting application like QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks or FreeAgentSSG have offices in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire. We work in a combination of office attendance and working from home. Our office hours are Mon-Fri 8:30 to 5:30.
