Assistant Management Accountant

Robert Half are working exclusively with an International brand to recruit an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant based in Trowbridge - offering up to £30,000 + study support. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic and hungry individual either looking to begin their studies or already studying AAT, ACCA or CIMA. The Role

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller - you will be supporting the Senior Management Accountant with a broad range of duties including:

• Review P&L against budget/reforecast and investigate and explain variances
• Maintain General Ledger and provide coding, check coding and provide general coding guidance to the business as required
• Calculate customer rebates to ensure rebates are accrued at an appropriate level and frequency
• Create routine reports and provide variance analysis and commentary on areas of focus where necessary
• Responsible for monthly accruals and prepayments
• Assist in preparation of annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
• Monitor and record non-conformities and implement corrective plan as necessary
• Proactively identify system and process improvements and opportunities to add value to the business and work to implement change as necessary
• Support the Senior Management Accountant and FC to ensure robust internal control in the business
• Support the Financial Accounting team to investigate unusual transactions in balance sheet accounts promptly
• Assist the preparation of half year and year-end accounts
• Support Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Financial Accounting and FP&A teams as required

Your Profile

• AAT qualified, or part qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA, or graduate with an Accounting Degree
• Able to use Excel to an intermediate level. E.g. VLOOKUPs, PivotTable
• Good knowledge of working with ERP systems and ability to assimilate new software quickly
• Self-motivating, proactive, deadline-driven and can work under pressure
• Excellent communication and the ability to develop strong working relationships
