We have a fantastic opportunity for a Assistant Surveyor to join our team based in Waterloo. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum.About the Assistant Surveyor role:The purpose of this role is to provide excellent front line customer service by working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our customers' needs are met and the departmental/team objectives are achieved. To assist in the effective and professional delivery of Investment projects for the Group, focusing on sound financial performance and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, quality and value for money are achieved.Responsibilities of our Assistant Surveyor:- Work with consultants and contractors to assist with the project management of complex Investment projects on time, budget and to a high standard of quality.- Assist and/or manage the cost for allocated Investment projects.- Deliver a high quality and 'best in class' service to customers demonstrated by high levels of satisfaction for each project.- Assist in the management of relationships with key contract partnerships and supply chain to ensure contractual, procurement, statutory and regulatory compliance.- Deliver continuous service and financial improvement for projects to contribute to the annual efficiency savings for Investment team and demonstrate VFM for each project.- Support the effectively delivery of projects to customers of all tenures.- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations for allocated projects and develop skills to take the role as Client.- Represent the department by promoting positively the performance of the Investment team to all stakeholders and partner agencies.- Provide support with the management of consultants working on allocated Investment projects.- Identify and manage the business and operational risks for Investment projects allocated.- Provide technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders.- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.- Address complaints appropriately and within required timescales.- Support the Senior Communications Manager/Customer Liaison Co-ordinators and Project Officer as required with customer communications and the S20 process as required.What we're looking for in our Assistant Surveyor:- GCSE's English and Maths Level C or equivalent.- Working towards MRICS, CIOB, Degree or HNC or relevant qualification in construction, Building Surveying, or equivalent.- Ability to work independently, exercising good initiative and judgement.- Good written and verbal communication skills.- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.- Understanding of excellent customer care and valuing diversity.- Ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously.- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and targets.- To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to so that consistent and standard practice is achieved across the organisation.Closing date: Wednesday 14th April 2021If you feel have the skills and experience to become our Assistant Surveyor, please click 'apply' now to be directed to our careers page and complete your application.
