I am currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join a growing and successful business based in St. Asaph. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely posting of customer receipts and ensuring that the customer account balances are accurate.

Duties will include:

  • Ensure that customer receipts are uploaded daily from the bank accounts and posted accurately
  • Complete daily bank account reconciliations
  • Investigate and resolve where possible unidentified customer receipts
  • Perform customer account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of receivable ledger
  • Prepare customer cheques for banking and post / allocation to customer accounts
  • Assist with Direct Debit scheme receipt posting and the issuing of scheme compliance documents
  • Resolve customer account queries in a timely manner
  • Assist with company's debt reminder process
  • Help to maintain good relationships with suppliers through positive communication, timely handling of supplier queries and effective management of our account with them
  • Proactively build relationships will colleagues and customers to facilitate the effective management of customer accounts
  • General accounting activities as required by the Finance Manager
  • Provide general support to the Finance Team as required, performing any other duties consistent with a position in a finance department as may from time to time be assigned to you

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of basic accounting including double entry bookkeeping and maintaining ledgers
  • Cashbook maintenance, reconciliations and journal posting
  • Working knowledge of AP
  • Strong inter-personal skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Strong Microsoft IT skills
  • Demonstrate a professional approach
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
