Hutcheon Mearns are exclusively supporting an oil and gas service business to recruit a driven and determined individual into the role of Management Accountant. Working as part of the Group team, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a varied and diverse set of duties.

Overview

• Prepare Group monthly management accounts, (PL and Balance Sheet) including variance analysis and comparisons against budget, and create a consolidation report for review

• Review the Sales ledger, ensuring the collection of Debtors' Invoices

• Perform monthly Bank Reconciliations

• Oversee cash management and credit control function

• Provide up to date information on Sales and Purchase liabilities for the purposes of Cash Flow Forecasting and assist with cash planning and management across all UK accounts

• Provide input and support for any management accounting and analysis relevant to the group's activities

• Analysis and preparation of reports to detail:

o Job costings/profitability

o Revenue by customer

• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register on a monthly basis and calculate depreciation

• Record and reconcile intercompany accounting entries

• Maintain and control the balance sheet of the UK company and be responsible for on-going reconciliations of those balances

• Prepare and submit quarterly Vat Returns

• Assist the Auditors during the annual audit

• Proven track record and experience in a Finance role or similar role.

• Working knowledge of SAGE and Microsoft Office packages

• Excellent communication skills
