Credit Controller

Looking to join a well established and successful finance department?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller to join a services based business at their head office in Stoke on Trent. Working in a Group structure this role requires an individual who can support the cash collection across different business units and be confident liaising with various internal and external departments. You will be working with a small team of credit controllers within a larger finance department.

Reporting in to the Group Finance Manager this role supports the wider finance department in the delivery of an effective and efficient financial operation within the business. Responsible for day to day credit collection duties, reconciliation of customer receivable balances and related credit administration and reporting.

This is a blended role of Sales Ledger and Credit Control. It is essential that those candidates applying have experience of working within a similar environment of a Group structure or multiple sites ideally.

Duties include:

• Day to day running of the credit control function

• Day to day Liaison with Group Credit Controller.

• Managing legal debt collection with solicitors.

• Banking of cheques received.

• Monthly debtor day reporting.

• Monthly review of outstanding debts with GFC and FD/CFO.

• Credit Applications, including setting up accounts.

• Management of Credit safe credit review facility with Group Credit Controller.

• Monthly review of credit limits with Group Credit Controller.

• Perform credit control related administration.

• Ad-hoc management reporting as required.

Experience Required

• Previous experience of credit control at a group level

• Knowledge and experience with SAP or Sage Line 50 is preferable

• Strong excel skills

To be considered for this role it is essential that you are experienced in all elements of cash collection. Are comfortable working as part of a team. Enjoy problem solving with the ability to work in a high paced environment.
