APT Recruitment are currently recruiting for a growing business based in Stoke, who are a major player in their field. They are looking for a Company Accountant with experience of working directly with the MD. The role will require you to manage the whole finance function of SME business. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to be part of the business's growth development.The duties of the role: -
• Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
• Submitting quarterly VAT returns
• Carrying out bank reconciliations
• Maintaining & updating fixed asset records
• Processing weekly income returns from CRM.
• Managing nominal ledger journals
• Producing budgets and forecasts
• Payroll
• Credit Control
• Expenses
• Negotiation and administration of company insurance policies
• Managing cash flow and bank balances
• Managing & administering the company pension scheme
• Providing general financial advice to the Managing Director and Directors
• Accounts Assistant already in place to support.The ideal candidate must have: -ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or QBE
Excellent Xero experience
Proven experience in a SME environment is essential
Comfortable managing all areas of financeFlexible approach.Be a confident decision maker.Be resilient for work pressures when they may arise. To be able to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
