Due to continued growth, we have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Financial Accountant to join the existing finance team based at our clients' facility in South Ayrshire.This is an exciting opportunity to work in an expanding organisation considered a leader in its field which offers great career development and opportunities.
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to develop their Financial Accountant career. The successful candidate will provide financial leadership and direction to the finance functions within the group, both in Scotland and Ireland along with having the responsibility for financial reporting and management of financial information.
Key responsibilities include:Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts. Preparation of annual financial statements. Preparation and management of balance sheet account reconciliations. Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts and capital expenditure reports. Preparation of the annual budget. Responsible for CIS, VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors. Manage the Accounts Team, account payable and invoicing, across the 2 businesses. Assist in insurance renewal and costing of same. Supporting Heads of Functions with departmental costings. Preparation & review of Finance policies & procedures. Contribute to ongoing improvement of group wide controls and processes. Assisting in adhoc reports and project work as required Candidate ProfileThis position will suit someone who is currently a Finance Manager or Finance Accountant looking to progress within a very dynamic, growing organisation and industry with the following competencies:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA & CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years PQE. Experience in the construction or manufacturing sector. Must have excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability with a high degree of accuracy. Excellent IT/financial systems experience. Advanced proficiency in MS Office. Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent planning and organising skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales. Resilience and be capable of working under pressure in a demanding environment. Strong commercial awareness, business acumen.
