WHO WE ARE LOOKNG FOR

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Key stakeholders: Internal Reporting Manager, Assistant Accountants, Financial Controller, State Commercial teams, Financial Planning & Analysis, Portfolio Managers, Cost Centre owners and Site Owners.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Month End
  • Responsible for reconciling and recognising revenue for the group.
  • Responsible for carrying out allocated month-end tasks.
  • Responsible for the production of a portfolio of managed site reports, arranging owner distribution settlement request and responding on any associated queries.
  • Providing coverage and support to the broader finance team with EOM deliverables as required.
  • Carrying out balance sheet reconciliations for allocated accounts

  • General Accounting responsibilities
  • Weekly revenue recognition and reconciliations.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a close team to ensure deadlines are met including providing cover during absences as required.
  • Assist with projects and work as required including rent reviews, forecasts, car park audits etc.
  • Taking the initiative and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset. Making recommendations on areas of opportunities.
  • Maintaining of process documentation and adherence to internal processes and controls requirements.

  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor qualification in a recognised Accounting discipline.
  • Working towards obtaining a membership in a professional accounting body.
  • 4 years+ experience in a relevant commercial accounting role.
  • Must have experience in reconciling high volumes of cash and credit card transactions.
  • Must have experience working in a centralised finance function providing accounting services for a multi-site operation.
  • Essential that the candidate have experience working within a large multi-function finance team and must be willing to assist with various tasks including raising invoices and posting accruals/adjustments.
  • Imperative that the candidate have extensive experience reconciling complex balance sheet accounts and resolving related exceptions.
  • Experienced in working with and guiding internal, external & offshore stakeholders.
  • Prior experience acting as a team subject matter expert and hosting training session to upskill other team members.
  • Capable of managing tight deadline on a weekly basis.
  • Prior exposure to operating with large data sets and the ability to manipulate and pivot data will be highly desirable.
  • Able to produce accurate and timely reports and be capable of designing and producing bespoke reports as requested by stakeholders.
  • An excellent understanding of how a large financial ledger system works.
  • Prior skills in using non-finance systems and related data to carry out reconciliations and investigations will be highly advantageous.
  • High level computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications, M365 and workflow applications.
  • A developed and demonstrable problem-solving ability.
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to persuade, negotiate and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the business.
  • Ability to work flexibly, in particular around peak end of month close periods, to ensure deliverables are meet timely
