About the hiring company
Our client is the pioneer in the manufacturing of full range of resins and specialty chemicals for wood-based industries. They have been in the production operations for over 50 years in Malaysia, producing chemical based materials in the region.
Currently they are actively in search of a qualified Accountant to assume the role of Finance Manager based at their production plants at Shah Alam.
The role
The role is full-time permanent position for immediate placement. The Finance Manager will report to the GM of the organization.
The role will include the following:
• Manage and lead the finance team to ensure the efficiency of the day to day operations of finance activities.
• Manage and monitor the operational accounting function including Accounting(AR,AP,GL and related reports) and treasury function.
• Timely preparation of financial statements in adherence of generally accepted accounting practices.
• Preparation of monthly and annual budgets and forecasts.
The person
• Malaysian male or female in age group 32-42.
• Fully qualified ACCA (or CIMA) with several years' successful experience within manufacturing section/industries.
• Possess detailed understanding of stock costing and accounting for manufacturing stock and work in progress,including costing methods,percentage of complete and revenue recognition.
• Technically solid understanding of all accounting areas including GL/AP/AR, manufacturing stocks & WIP, fixed assets & depreciation.
• Strong systems,management accounting and business analysis experience.
• Possess excellent Excel skills and Accounting software.
