The role

Reporting into the CEO, you will establish an effective financial position for the Company in bringing your expertise to areas such as; treasury functions, investment and taxation. The role will also require you to have oversight and support the formal business governance processes and where required, engage and deliver amendments and alterations established by the Board.

With the growth of the business you will ensure that through effective reporting and timely delivery of the business accounts, this supports the reporting required for the monthly Board reviews and the quarterly/annual forecasting as required.

Advice, oversight and mentoring of the small finance team will be required with direction and support provided to the management accountant and their assistant.

This is a newly created position where you will provide strategic and financial support to the CEO and the Board, to ensure that TrustMark's financial commitments are achieved.


Responsibilities

  • With the CEO and management team develop the annual operating budget to ensure that all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations are complied with.
  • Provide value-added insights into the finance function - including management information, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and board packs.
  • Work with the CEO to develop and deliver an internal Finance KPI scorecard of key accountabilities and deliverables aligned to strategic goals.
  • Play an instrumental role in the management of TrustMark's governance responsibilities.
  • Create and maintain a risk management process comprising of: financial, contractual, and legal requirements.
  • Control, develop and manage all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of TrustMark's business.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience within an SME environment.
  • Oversight and governance experience of multi-faceted business.
  • Experience in a Senior Finance role.
  • Fully qualified, ideally ACCA/CIMA.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
