Finance Manager - Goring, Reading - Charity Opportunity

Berkeley Scott is working exclusively on a superb opportunity for a Finance Manager. Our client is a well-established charity currently conducting a far reaching business review in which the successful candidate will have an influential role.

As the most senior finance person in the charity, reporting to the Centre and Clinical Director, you will be responsible for the development of the charity's financial strategy, long term financial forecasts and annual budgeting. In the latter role, you will develop and be responsible for, alongside the rest of the executive team, an efficient cost control process.You will also use your commercial insight, governance and analysis skills to help the charity plan and invest in order for it to deliver its charity objectives.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, with experience in financial and management accounting, ideally within a not-for-profit organisation. You will be self-motivated and think analytically when maintaining robust financial control.

Essential Experience

• Qualified Accountant
• Advanced Excel and ability to develop financial models
• Ability to present financial information to budget holders and non-finance colleagues
• Experience in management accounting, preparing financial statements
• Experience in preparing complex forecasts and budgets and ability to critically review financial performance and challenge budget holders
• Experience in analysing risks and opportunities

Desirable

• Experience in payroll and pension
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and governance for a charity
• IT skills at a level to support report writing incorporating complex financial data
