Overview of Position:

Reporting to the Finance Manager EMEA the GL Accountant will be responsible for producing management accounts for entities in the region.

What you will do:

• Completion of monthly management accounts including variance analysis commentary and additional Group Finance requests for entities in the EMEA region in accordance with group reporting timetable
• Completion of month end balance sheet reconciliations within prescribed timelines. Highlighting balance sheet risks and opportunities.
• Working with external auditors and the SSC statutory accountant and other stakeholders to ensure statutory filings (e.g. annual accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, etc.) are filed in accordance with local regulatory requirements. This involves providing the auditors with the requested information (transactions listing and samples, including coordinating with other departments to obtain the backup) and answering their queries.
• Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts for the multiple bank accounts of the assigned entities.
• Working with Payroll team to ensure payroll is accurately processed, paid and accounted for.
• Working with the intercompany accountant on intercompany balances with other entities.

What we need from you:

• Qualified financial accountant
• Good communication skills with ability to liaise with auditors
• Ability to prioritise workload in order to achieve deadline
• Previous experience of Microsoft Navision

Even better if you have:

• Statutory Accounts experience
