Services range from international tax compliance and consultancy, advising on international social security and pensions through to helping clients to design their global mobility policies or move into a new territory. Our ERS team brings a number of key elements under one umbrella, Reward, Employment Solutions and Employee Benefit Solutions all delivering a wide range of services. The scope is broad, covering payroll and HMRC compliance, employee reward and benefit strategy design including technology, executive strategic reward, valuation services, workforce management and advice on national minimum wage and gender pay gap. Our technology team provides cutting-edge solutions and tools to help clients in both the GMS and ERS space, helping them meet their compliance requirements, work more effeciently and minimise their risk.Service Line GroupPeople Services Job DescriptionThe Reward practiceat KPMG is a dedicated national team that advise on the design, tax, market practice, corporate governance, regulatory and accounting aspects of management and broader employee incentive structures. The team advises on incentive plan design and structuring, drafting plan documents and advising on the tax, legal, regulatory and corporate governance aspects of incentive arrangements for both UK and global clients. The successful applicant will want to be involved in business development activities, including client proposals, internal and external presentations and writing articles and alerts on technical and other matters. We are looking for an ambitious manager with considerable experience of advising on the aspects of the tax and legal aspects of incentive arrangements to come into our Reward team and work primarily on the design, implementation and tax advisory aspects of incentive arrangements, with the opportunity to work across other work streams within the team and to contribute to the growth our Reward practice. Working alongside partners, directors and senior managers, you will also be involved in managing the delivery of client work and the development of junior team members from a technical and commercial standpoint. Qualification and Skills:The applicant will have a relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified solicitor); At least six years' experience of working in a Reward practice; Strong project and financial management, including the ability to plan and monitor deliverables, budget and timescales; Effective time management, able to act under own initiative and remain calm under pressure; Ability to lead and manage others and work across disciplines; Ability to identify and manage areas of risk within clients' business and know when to refer upwards; and Strong communicator in a range of situations both written and oral. Experience and Background: The successful applicant will be an experienced reward / share plans specialist who: has an understanding of the UK tax and legal issues that may arise in relation to long term and equity based incentive arrangements; has extensive experience of drafting legal documentation, employee communications and technical advice;demonstrates excellent team leadership skills in addition to an ability to work under their own initiative; is either working in professional or legal services with a reputation for delivering high quality technical advice in this space; or is working in industry, but able to demonstrate the ability to deliver in a professional services environment when tested.
