The Vice President Finance will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management for the Eve Lom brand on a global level. This position will be based in our regional office in London but will report to the Global President in the New York brand headquarters.




Responsibilities:

Vice President will lead a five member Finance team based in the UK in the following areas -


Budgets and Forecasts

  • Development of three year plans, annual budgets and updated forecasts in close partnership with respective Sales leads in the Regions.

Accounting and Reporting

  • Monthly close including all necessary accruals.
  • Compilation, review and issuance of reporting to Corporate.

Cost Accounting

  • Management of all standard costs for products that are sold or provided for no charge, including proper cost targeting issued to marketing/PD.

Cash Flow

  • Management of cashflow including A/P, A/R and all inventory and non-inventory purchases, ensuring ample cash availability to finance growth.
  • Regular updates of cashflow forecasts.

Financial Controls

  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures with respect to credit control,

payables, T&E and budget management.

Taxation

  • Oversee US sales and use taxation in nexus markets.
  • Support corporate tax filings in conjunction with external agencies.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 15+ years of related experience with proven track record.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Beauty experience required; prestige brand experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in both a major corporation (Fortune 500, etc) as well as a smaller organization (private equity, etc) is a plus.
  • Must be strategic and commercially minded with ability to provide guidance beyond the numbers to drive the business forward, optimize sales and profitability.
  • Strong leadership ability with executive mentality, professional maturity and high EQ.
  • Motivated self-starter with entrepreneurial spirt who takes a proactive and collaborative approach; works well with all levels both high and low.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail, precision and accuracy.
  • Fluency in Excel and MS office.
  • Some travel to New York and Corporate Headquarters in China (TBC).
