  • What will you be doing:
    This role reports directly to the Regional Manager and is responsible for leading the front line credit analyst team within the Region, to ensure that the preparation of all credit analysis & submissions and credit related tasks undertaken by the credit analysts are completed efficiently, accurately and consistently.
    You will primarily be responsible for 1st line credit leadership within the region, as well as identifying best credit practices, develop standards and implement procedures accordingly. This role is to be undertaken in alignment and co-operation with members of the peer group, under the guidance of the Head of Country Banking Analysts.

    Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Form a critical member of Regional Senior Leadership team
  • Lead and role-model the regional team culture, setting the tone from the top with Rabobank agreed standards (Cooperative, Respect, Integrity, Sustainability, Professionalism, and Vitality)
  • Co-own and form the gatekeeper of the credit risk with the relationship team on the front line
  • Lead, mentor and coach a team of credit analysts across the region, including learning development pathways

  • Workflow:
  • Form the key contact point in the region for credit related matters
  • Co-ordinate and manage the workflow for all Credit Analysts within the Region

  • Prudential
  • Instil the importance of credit related prudential requirements within the team
  • Understand credit related prudential requirements including full compliance with policies and procedures
  • Lead and take ownership of the prudential performance of the credit analyst team.

  • Organisation
  • Weekly regional team meetings, agenda driven and minuted
  • Be an initiator, adopter and where applicable the owner of new initiatives
  • Contribute to and/or initiate inter and intra-regional initiatives and support

  • Who are we looking for:
    To be successful in this role you would have at least 5 years' experience in a banking, finance or agriculture as a Finance manager or similar. Tertiary qualification in agribusiness, economics, finance, business or related discipline is desirable.
