As an Assistant Financial Analyst, you will provide financial support, reporting and variance analysis for Architectural Coatings across Region North & East Europe. As well as providing understanding and insight into the key financial drivers to enable effective business understanding for non-finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, analysing and challenging Profit & Loss reports.
  • Balance Sheet reporting and analysis, including understanding of Operating Working Capital.
  • Cash Flow analysis.
  • Capital Expenditure Reporting – actual and forecast. Including disputing capital expenditure through understanding of payback, PV / NPV, IRR etc.
  • Understanding and involvement in the budget process, including budget 2022 and Business Strategy Review 2021-2024.
  • Consolidating the budget submissions and analysing proposals based upon historic actual performance.
  • Additional ad-hoc projects and work as required.

Qualifications

  • Awareness of P&L performance, balance sheet movements, Capital Expenditure monitoring and Cash Flow performance!
  • PC literate with knowledge of numerical applications such as Excel (understanding of pivot tables/vlookup and sophisticated formulae is desirable) and presentation software such as PowerPoint!
  • Good inter-personal skills.
  • Diligent and strong ability to deal with priorities.
  • Able to work without close supervision and use own initiative.
  • Eagerness to learn.
