The Role

This is potentially a long-term opportunity which sits within the core finance team and reports directly to the Group Finance Manager. The position is initially on a temporary basis commencing in mid April but has scope to become permanent within a few months. Interviews will be taking place very soon.

You will support the wider accounting team and focus predominantly on Group Accounting responsibilities:

Typical day to day duties will involve:
  • Support with consolidation of multi entity financial reports
  • Analyse and evaluate profit and loss and balance sheet information
  • Pull together monthly management reporting pack
  • Liaising with staff in central head office
  • Coordinating with accounts payable and receivable
  • End of month journals
  • Support with audit preparation
  • Credit card and bank reconciliations

  • This role will grow and develop as the company continues to expand. We are targeting ambitious Accountants and Assistant Accountants who want to continue on the upward curve of their careers.

    Your Profile

    You will have a background in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:
  • Prior experience within a mid-large organisation working in accounting
  • Prior experience with group accounting and/or consolidations
  • Excellent attitude and work ethic
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to read and understand p&l and balance sheet information
  • Comfortable commuting to CBD
  • Immediate availability
