    The duties of the role:
  • Accountable to provide sound practical and procedural financial advice and support across a range of activities and tasks within one or more of the core finance functions
  • Managing competing requests, demands, and priorities and monitoring the workflow to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of resources, compiling information and reporting for a specific project or program
  • Undertaking procedural and administrative support or operational tasks including, research and analysis, and monitoring and reviewing expenditure.
  • Work independently to manage specific tasks, processes or activities against stated work area objectives.
  • Make decisions within defined parameters relating to an area of responsibility
  • Provide information and advice, which may be taken into consideration by other decision makers.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on a range of moderately complex finance policy, projects and operational issues to achieve effective outcomes.

  • What you will bring to the role
  • Tertiary level qualifications in Accounting, Finance or equivalent academic specialisation is required
  • Financial experience within the public sector his highly desirable
  • A strong understanding, or ability to quickly develop an understanding, of government processes
  • Exceptional analytical and written communication skills
  • A high degree of initiative, strong organisational skills and the capability to manage effectively in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Flexibility and resilience and embrace the challenges of working in a complex and changing environment.

  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen with eligibility to clear a National Police Check
