Responsible for ensuring transactional accounting activities, month end close activities including project profit recognition, month-end close journals, inter-company recharges are completed on timely basis.
Work with the Business Controller to deliver accurate monthly financial reporting, periodic financial KPI reporting per set timelines.
Collaborate with the Project Managers and Branch managers to manage financial performance of the Business
Units, contribute to the strategic and operational decision making by providing appropriate financial analysis.
Perform financial analysis on contract profitability, labor utilisation, selling and general administrative expenses
Provide transactional accounting support to Business Unit general administration and service support teams.
Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring all reconciliations are prepared as per agreed timetable and to a high standard, with any issues escalated to the Business Controller or Group Financial Controller.
Assist in annual budgeting and planning process with Business Unit and Business Controller.
Assist in completing monthly reporting pack with detailed commentary including variance analysis.
Complete all internal reporting requirements in-line with APAC & Corporate deadlines, and senior leadership reporting.
Maintain of the integrity and accuracy of the fixed asset register.
Agreeing month end inter-company loan accounts balances.
Risk Management and Internal Controls
Assist with the implementation of internal control initiatives and work with Business Units to ensure alignment to Group policies and procedures.
Requirements to be successful:
CA or CPA Qualifications along with 6 years + experience ideally working within the Building & Construction industry
Project accounting experience is essential
Technically sound on IFRS 9, 15 & 16
A process improvement focused team player, with strong communication skills
