Permanent Finance Assistant job in Perth, £20,000 - £21,000 + 30 days AL, excellent pension & free parking

Hays are working with their established client for a permanent Finance Assistant with a focus on sales ledger & credit control to join their team. Salary is circa £21,000 + 30 days annual leave, excellent pension and free parking.

Your new role

Working as part of the Finance Team, you will be responsible for the coordination of sales ledger and credit control functions to maintain the efficient and accurate running of the system. You will review and process account applications, carry out credit checks and release credit customer orders for production or dispatch.
You will maintain regular contact with customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed and collected as necessary. You will liaise with sales department to assist with recovery of overdue debt, review the aged debt list and prepare a weekly aged debt report for the Finance Director. You will also assist with other finance duties including purchase ledger, banking, processing payments and any other duties required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Finance candidate with a strong background of sales ledger and / or credit control. You will be a strong communicator who is able to work to your own initiative as well as part of a team. You will be able to work in a high volume environment with accuracy to deadlines,
