Finance Assistant, Birmingham, Up to £24,000


Hays are delighted to be working with a private sector organisation based near Birmingham Airport. They have seen exponential growth over the last year and are now looking to expand their finance team. They are now looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team to support the Management Accountant, as well as the wider finance team.

This role will involve the post holder becoming a super user on their internal systems, which are specific to their industry. Some of the main responsibilities of this role will be; cost collection against jobs, invoice preparation and charging rechargeable costs. The post holder will also be responsible for management of the WIP and stocking activities. You will also be getting involved in capturing payroll cross charges, processing expenses and credit card costs, petty cash and some involvement in accounts payable where required.

In order to be successful in this role you will have previous experience in a transactional finance role, with strong interpersonal skills, as well as a self-motivated attitude and the ability to work unsupervised. The successful candidate will also have strong knowledge of Microsoft TEAMS and SharePoint. The businesses growth means that this role will be developmental and allow for significant exposure, so a desire to learn, strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload and prioritise is key for the successful candidate. Experience of working within an aviation, maintenance or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.

Eligible to live and work in the UK is essential. The role will require the individual to go through a complete security vetting as well.
