Change Accountant IFRS
This role will be based out of Cardiff, but 100% home based.
This role will suit a qualified Accountant who has experience of working in FS/Insurance/Life businesses
My client has offices throughout the UK and are one of the largest Insurance/life providers
The Change Accountant will support the delivery of Finance change relating to the new reporting standards known as IFRS 17 with a particular focus on the implications for the Group Finance Shared Service Centre ('SSC') function, but with an understanding of the impact to the broader organisational landscape.
You will take a significant role in the management, design, delivery and implementation of IFRS 17 change that affects the SSC accounting systems and processes. Lead on the design and delivery of an effective organisational design that meets the requirements of the new reporting standards regulation, but that takes into account strategic goals.
You will work effectively with the appropriate business divisions and internal customers to ensure that all systems and process changes are effectively designed and delivered through to production in an efficient, cost-effective and timely manner, whilst maintaining technical accounting integrity and alignment with commercial objectives.
You will build through effective networks, communication management and technical ability and experience, ensure any requirements impacting accounting systems are captured and delivered. This includes a detailed review of the accounting systems, processes and controls impacted by the change, identifying the impacts, proposing solutions through innovative and creative methods and delivering the end to end change methodology as required to enable the business to succeed.
You will be a technically strong Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA
you will have worked with IFRS financial reporting before.
You will have worked in a FS/Life/Insurance business and understand how IFRS repoprting effects the wider business.
An initial 6 month FTC
Salary c£42,000 - £67,000
