My client, an industry leading business in North Leicestershire is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their expanding team. To be successful with your application, you will be minimum AAT Qualified/Early stages of ACCA/CIMA and looking to study and complete your qualification.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting in the preparation of the monthly accounts including providing supporting commentary and analyses on areas of variance to plan.

Balance sheet and bank reconciliations

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

Working closely with non-finance teams on all finance related queries.

Making this role your own will involve you getting involved in the process improvement side, you will be spending up to a week a month looking at ways to improve reporting etc.

You will be/have:

AAT Qualified/Early Stages of ACCA/CIMA

Dynamic and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to build relationships with senior management both finance and non-finance

Strong Excel skills
