ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for supporting the development of compelling analysis for our key business partners with data-driven insights. Obtaining buy-in from key business stakeholders through the generation & implementation of recommendations that provide strategic competitive advantage

Reports to: Pricing & Insights Manager

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Local

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
  • Develop pricing & discounting insights through analysing multiple data sources.
  • Implement, manage, and report on marketing research as defined by the Pricing Insights Manager.
  • Input into the development of the pricing & discounting strategy, broader insights agenda related to the consumer, shopper & broader operating environment to inform business plans
  • Obtain buy-in from business partners to drive action from pricing insights & foresights
  • Ensure agency research proposals are fit for purpose, will deliver the required insights, are cost efficient & enable agility
  • Manage internal data & ease of accessibility across the organisation
  • Manage research agencies, ensuring OTIF delivery of outputs at defined quality standards, and evaluations are conducted for all initiatives
  • Assist in aligning the organisation (Australia, the region and globally) to the pricing insights agenda and specific plans.
  • Develop internal & external presentations regarding the pricing insights agenda and initiatives
  • Assist in developing organisational understanding of the impact of pricing dynamics on consumers, shoppers & and the operating environment.

  • ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • A tertiary degree in the field of analytics such as Mathematics, Science or Commerce or at least 2-3 a few years of relevant working experience
  • Demonstrate advanced analytic skills which involve compiling data, identifying trends, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations.
  • Planning and organisation skills which involves establishing and prioritising tasks and objectives to manage time and resources appropriately
  • Ability to influence and create buy-in from stakeholders
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI and Data Analytics platforms
  • Readiness adopt to an array of analytical platforms, software & approaches (machine learning & automation)

  • BENEFICIAL
  • Demonstrable understanding of Revenue Growth Management would be an advantage
  • An understanding of Aztec IRI would be an advantage
