Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • UK Commercial Finance Team (1st rotation)
    • Monitor Cost Centre reporting to conduct departmental budget meetings.
    • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes while consolidating data into financial spreadsheets and updating forecast reports.
    • Upload 5-year Budget plan into group financial reporting systems (SmartView) and gain an understanding of mappings between systems.
    • Schedule and co-ordinate departmental Budget meetings and monthly update meetings
    • Update/improve and document departmental files and processes.
    • Review purchase requisitions for coding and allocation into cost centres / elements (Smartsource / SAP).
  • Regional Commercial Finance Team (2nd rotation)
    • Support the Regional Finance Controller in the preparation of the weekly sales analysis.
    • Participate in regional strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting processes.
    • Update the monthly product reporting tools.
    • Produce ad hoc reports and provide analysis to highlight emerging trends across the cluster.
    • Liaise between affiliates and regional and corporate functions and support affiliate finance teams in reporting and planning related matters.
    • Support Finance leadership in the execution of current projects.
    • Take ownership of a process improvement initiative and present findings to the team.

The minimum qualifications for this role are: 

  • Studying towards an analytical degree and expected to achieve 2:1.
  • Competent use of Microsoft skills, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team effectively.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individual.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks.
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail and data analysis skills.
