Purchase Ledger Supervisor/ Assistant Manager


Our client, an award-winning civil engineering and building company that specialise in infrastructure, groundworks and associated building services, are urgently looking for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor/ Assistant Manager to become a great addition to their strong, fast paced Purchase Ledger department.

Joining a team of 13, you will be a Supervisor or Assistant Manager who is either confident with managing people day to day or if you are less front facing, you will be able to complete reporting, checks, effectively close out actions and follow up issues to a high standard. Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable but not essential.

You will already have experience working as a Purchase Ledger Supervisor for this position.

Duties will include:

  • Overseeing a team of 13 reporting to the Management Accountant
  • Processing supplier invoices for stock purchases and overheads
  • Running weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Reviewing ledger for old items and supplier statements and goods received not invoiced
  • Processing credit card statement
  • Processing expenses
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Accounting for pre-payments and accruals
