An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially-minded Accountant to join a dynamic business based in Leeds City Centre.

My client has experienced rapid growth in recent years and with this set to continue, they are looking to appoint a driven Commercial Accountant to join their excellent finance team on a permanent basis.


Your new role

• You will be responsible for weekly reviews, providing insight into sales run rate, variances to budget, forecasts, KPIs, margin trending.
• Production on commercially-focused management information and reporting.
• This is a highly visible and integral commercially focused finance role, reporting directly to an approachable and supportive Leadership Team.
• There are bite-sized projects to also enjoy - focused around added value improvements to business partnering and reporting.
• You will present the weekly packs to commercial managers / controller and be someone who can confidently translate finance information and MI to a non-finance audience in a fast-paced, continuous improvement setting. You will be the primary finance contact in board meetings / business modelling.
• You'll be someone who can challenge the numbers and get under the skin of the factors driving/impacting variances.

What you'll need to succeed

• ACA CIMA ACCA qualified
• Be comfortable digging down into the numbers to provide meaningful commentary regarding variances, trends, opportunities and risks.
• Be a natural business partner who can work closely with the commercial managers. Your role provides them the key evidence to support price increases linked to increased costs .
• Be someone comfortable with Excel, able to produce meaningful reports to deadline.

• The existing processes, scorecards and models are reasonably well automated and in good shape. You will be someone who can pick up new tasks and systems swiftly and enjoy picking up new tasks and projects with confidence
