Interim Capital Finance Programme Lead - London Local Authority - 6 months +

This is a great chance to work for a Local Authority based in London, that has recently had a restructure to deal with it's highly ambitious plans to improve the borough now and in the future.

Your new role
As the lead for capital and projects, you will be Council's expert on capital accounting and capital projects, responsible for the setting, monitoring and financing of the Council Capital Programme throughout the whole process with responsibility for supporting the Councils most ambitious and complex schemes. You will be expected to help drive and improve processes across the council and lead on service delivery.


What you'll need to succeed
In addition to being a fully qualified accountant, with strong technical skills you must have previous capital experience and a clear and obvious exposure to leading on capital programmes previously, You will have the essential strategic and political awareness that this role requires, allowing you to work collaboratively with the chief finance officer, directors and executive directors. An ambition to work with and lead a team will be paramount and also the ability to get the best out of people within your team.
**Local government Experience is essential**
