Job Description
Integrates hardware and/or software framework, systems and/or product design functions or designs underlying architecture for use in one or more product offerings. Evaluates final results of design assuring accomplishment of technical objectives. Prepares and presents reports outlining the outcome of projects and makes recommendations for actions necessary to achieve desired results. Ultimately, Data Kernel Operations specifically focuses on supporting other teams in their adoption of new practices, processes, and tools revolving around data ingestion, enrichment, and delivery in the pursuit of our business objectives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities*
Provide core data ingestion and enrichment capabilities for other teams to deliver quick, stable, and valuable solutions around data.
Participate in the development of Architecture growth strategies and initiatives and software lifecycle.
Provide guidance to the business on the future of these projects, defining technical strategies and setting the direction.
Define metrics by which success in the operation and adoption of our data ingestion kernel capabilities are measured.
Provide technical design guidance and consultation to the project teams.
Ensure budgets and schedules meet organization requirements and standards.
Functional and Business Knowledge*
Has in-depth knowledge of architecture processes and strategies and in-depth understanding of S&P Global businesses and data operations to best provide support.
Problem Solving*
Provide resolutions that are innovative and aligned with market trends.
Ability to deduce solutions with multiple sources of input and understand costs/benefits of each solution.
Interactions*
Work with other team leads in Architecture and across IT.
Interact internally and externally with executive level management and Office of CTO leadership requiring negotiation of extremely critical matters.
Influence policymaking.
Typical Scope & Impact*
Directly impact the achievement of IT objectives. Contribute to the achievement of S&P Global objectives.
Work with abstract ideas or situations across functional areas in the organization.
Minimum and Preferred Education
BA/BS; Masters degree preferred.
Minimum and Preferred Experience/Skills
15+ years of experience; plus years in the industry and substantial experience in managing information technology type P&L structures.
