Senior Accounting Analyst

Summary:

The Senior Accounting Analyst will focus on the month-end close process to ensure timely recording of entries and proper reconciliation.  This role will also assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the financial data. Other responsibilities will include recording of certain transactions, designing internal controls, and supporting the annual audit process.

Responsibilities

As our Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting you will:

• Record journal entries for areas of higher complexity such as software capitalization, fair value of loan portfolios, and debt issuance costs
• Design and maintain various reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting
• Prepare financial statements and disclosures for external financial reporting
• Support the external auditor’s annual audit process
• Create and implement procedures for new products and transactions
• Develop collaborative relationships across teams and functions across all business lines
• Design, implement and maintain internal controls within the financial reporting and accounting policy functions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed CPA.
• 2 + years of relevant experience, including 2 years of public accounting experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Excellent Excel skills

Preferred Requirement:

• Prior experience within the financial services industry (lending or financing, mortgage origination or servicing, insurance, or alternative financial services)
• Experience with NetSuite a plus
