Macildowie are excited to be partnered with a leading manufacturing business based in Hinckley on their search for either an experienced, confident and bubbly Purchase Ledger Assistant, or alternatively would consider a real 'up and comer', an AAT studier with limited experience but the right attitude will be nurtured well in this business.

ROLE SPECIFICATION
Title: Accounts Assistant (Accounts Payable)
Salary £18,000 - £22,000


Your Purpose


Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, the Accounts Payable Assistant will be accountable for the Purchase Ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoicing and reconciliation.

Day to Day...

  • Matching and Coding invoices.
  • Preparing and running BACS payments and remittances.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Processing staff expenses.
  • Managing petty cash and posting monthly.
  • Setting up supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.
  • Managing credit card expenses.
  • Provide cover for Sales Ledger and Reception as and when required.
  • Support the implementation of an Electronic Invoice Processing system.
  • Resolving Purchase Ledger Queries in a timely manner
  • Prepare Monthly Financial KPI's
  • Maintain a low level of GRNI transactions
  • Monitor and review Open Purchase Orders
  • Regular meetings with internal stakeholders
  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested by the Company.
  • Adhering to the Company's Core Objectives
  • Implement correct processes and procedures where required


Experience Required

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Excellent IT Skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
