Your new company

Our client is a PE backed integrated business that has grown from strength to strength. Due to this growth they are now looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to work with them in order to grow the finance team.


Your new role

The role has one direct report and has three main elements…..


  • Partnering ops and the site manager to understand costs and overheads.
  • Business partnering the Technical Director who sits on the board
  • Projects and process improvements


  • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Site Finance Lead: This role is responsible for managing the financial performance of their site. This includes reporting, analysis, budgets & forecasts and business partnering to site leadership.
    • Business Partnering: Build strong relationship with the Director and their leadership team. Provide insightful reporting & analysis, develop budgets & forecasts, provide challenge and general financial support to ensure robust cost control and alignment to strategic plans.
    • Management Reporting: Develop and maintain company-wide reporting such as Executive KPIs, Headcount, Working Capital, Product performance, etc. Lead and contribute to Executive level review processes
    • Projects: Finance lead for Projects - from building a compelling business case through to delivery, tracking and post-investment appraisal
    • Leadership: Management and development of 1 direct report along with leadership of others as part of projects and month-end processes




    What you'll need to succeed

    • Fully Qualified CIMA or equivalent
    • Manufacturing or Technology finance background desirable
    • Strong Business Partnering skills with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders, build credibility and rapport
    • Confidence & gravitas to lead Executive level review processes
    • Change orientated, constantly seeking improvement opportunities
    • Strong communication skills: Accurate, considered, persuasive and succinct
    • Advanced skills in excel and financial operating systems
    • Results focused, ensuring plans in place and delivered through regular review
    • Strong organisation skills to manage multiple responsibilities
