An exciting Finance Manager job has just become available at one of the MNC automotive firms based in Shah Alam. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a part of the dynamic team.

About the Finance Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for finance operations, financial reporting and tax-related matters for the business. You will be managing a team of 10 to 12 staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with internal and external parties including customers and advisers
  • Lead and develop the accounting department. Hold regular accounting department meetings and coach and develop employees in the team through competent development
  • Compliance and group financial reporting and local statutory and fiscal accounting requirements
  • Support the actual reporting, quarterly projection and market plan and business plan
  • Calculate and/or book accruals, deferrals and provisions to satisfy the company and local GAAP. Coordinate and communicate with external auditors, satisfying their needs for information and explanations
  • Review of tax calculations, presentations and payments. Ensure adequate capitalisation in the operations
  • Propose and participate in improvements to the overall company accounting processes. Control of archiving necessary documents and ensure that proper transactional records are maintained to comply with statutory and fiscal legislation
  • Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable. Ensure all invoices are appropriately authorised and coded. Ensure customer/supplier reconciliation is completed by the team in a timely manner
  • Manage others to ensure their work contributes to organisational goals. Develop individuals, build teams, resolve conflicts and apply workplace policies

  • To succeed in the Finance Manager role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Key Requirements:
  • University graduate or possesses CIMA or ACCA qualification
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in handling full set accounts, with minimum of three years as a people manager
  • High integrity, independent and analytical and possesses communication skills together with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Proactive, fast learner, self motivated, performance driven and able to multitask
  • Proficient in Excel, Words and PowerPoint and experience in ERP system is preferred
