Systems Accountant - 12 months FTC

Team ITG is currently looking for a Systems Accountant to join their wider Finance team in Birmingham. The position is initially a 12-month FTC but with the business ever-evolving and getting busier, this opportunity could become permanent.

This new role has arisen, as a result of the growth in the company which is requiring innovation and advancement in the use of our systems. The right person for this role should be technically competent and comfortable across varied systems as well as being comfortable getting to know the business, to be able to most effectively reflect the business/financial needs in the system design and setup.

You will be responsible for system admin processes and responsibilities within Sage 200, including maintaining, testing and making changes, role management and working with vendors/consultants where appropriate. You will also be responsible for reviewing and testing upgrades prior to roll out (Sage, Synergist, EPM) and developing linkages between data sources and ensure accuracy and consistency of master data.

You will be the Finance Team's business partner with respect to system change requests, reporting information and ad hoc requests. You will undertake a review and build out of Sage 200 functionality across the finance team as well as reviewing billing process (Synergist/Sage) and recommend/implement system efficiencies where appropriate

You will provide day to day oversight of Synergist and EPM and work to improve the system, being the main technical contact between us and the vendor.

Essential Skills

What can you bring to the table?

• You are CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
• You have experience of using Sage 200 (or similar systems)
• You have experience using financial planning and reporting tools (Prophix, Board, Anaplan or other EPM tools for example)
• You have used Synergist or other timesheet/job management systems
• You have prior experience of system implementations/re-implementations and upgrades
• You have excellent O365 skills
• You must have commercial appreciation of professional services, SaaS or related fields
• You'll be flexible and able to work in a fast paced, hard working environment and demonstrate commitment to role and to drive development
