Operating a smooth invoicing process within BPP's Law School

As a hard working a detail-oriented individual you will manage the administrative processes relating to resourcing activities for the Law School. With a focussed responsibility for operating a smooth invoicing process for all the School's freelancers, suppliers, and faculty overtime process, you will assist in the management of the school's budget. This is a remarkable opportunity for an individual looking to start or progress their career within finance and university operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Working with the Director of Finance to assist with the creation and subsequent management of the Law School financial budget
  • Working with members of the Law School SMT to ensure School costs are managed in line with budget
  • Reviewing and processing of Law School supplier invoices and staff overtime, liaising with relevant teams to validate claims
  • Collating and reviewing month-end accruals to ensure that the monthly management accounts are accurate and complete
  • Working with the Director of Finance to perform regular costs reviews within the school
  • Assisting with the provision of regular financial data analysis to the Law School and BPP Group
  • Assisting with the creation and management of Law School student data to ensure revenue is appropriately recognised on a monthly basis

What we're looking for

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent. Ideally possessing an entry level finance qualification (e.g. AAT or part qualified)
  • A keen interest in finance and data with the desire to gain further skills in this area
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing data
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and students
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with ability to build rapport easily
  • Experience planning, organising and prioritising workload while producing work to a consistently high standard, with attention to detail within tight deadlines
  • Digital Literacy Skills- Strong working knowledge of Office 365; (particularly Excel)
  • Highly organized with attention to detail - required when assessing and validating claims
  • Ability to record accurate data/information in a database or Excel spreadsheet
  • Self-motivated to work under pressure and make flexible solutions
  • Ability to communicate across different levels of the business, adapting your approach and style where necessary
