What does the role involve?
Reporting to the "Credit Manager " , you'll help to ensure a continuous solid cash flow that minimises credit risk exposure, whilst managing the accounts for a selected ledger portfolio.

Your role includes but not limited to the following:
  • Responsible for the credit control and credit risk activities with respect to an accounts sub-ledger
  • Manage and evaluate the potential risk to the business by effectively controlling the exposure through management of the overdue balances
  • Protect the qualitative value of the business revenue lines by ensuring that disputes are resolved and that any credit notes are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reports are produced in a timely and effective manner, and where necessary, escalate appropriate issues as they occur
  • Manage the credit-control of a sub-ledger group as assigned and to meet the set monthly targets through the timely collection and processing of payments and invoices /credit notes into the ledger
  • Effective management of customer accounts by ensuring that client correspondence, client queries, allocation of account payments and credit/invoice issues are dealt with in a timely manner, and instigating remedial action regarding billing errors
  • Assist in the management of all activities pertaining to credit control, maintenance and collection

  • What are we looking for?
  • 3-5 years experience in a high volume credit collection environment
  • Transport Industry experience would be highly regarded
  • Good understanding of basic accounting
  • Exposure in the banking/finance or Mercantile agents sector would be highly advantageous
  • Associate of the Australian Institute of Credit Management ( AICM ) would be highly regarded
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel (e.g. PivotTable, Vlookup)
  • Good ERP System and communication skills
